Late Post : Lost. Love. Laoag.

Everyone was happy when Malacanang announced the long weekend schedule (no work for Aug 20 and 21) and I was really relieved since we have been planning to go up Laoag a year ago and we made it happen! Despite our 2 friends backing out for this trip, hubby and myself were able to get bus tickets for Friday night. We took the last 2 seats available for super deluxe bus of Florida Bus Lines, whew, that was a close call! We left at around 9:30PM and were expected to arrive in Laoag 5AM.

My girlfriend Loisky was very helpful during our stay in Laoag! She asked Grandpa's Inn at Vigan to allow us to stay for a few hours until the sun has risen and while waiting, we toured around Vigan as well. What happened in Day 1 : Grandpa's Inn x Calle Crisologo x Plaza Burgos x Cafe Leona

We took an ordinary bus to go to Laoag which was almost a 3-hour trip to meet up with Jay and Loisky. The lovely couple picked us up at the YMCA terminal and went to their place first to say hi to the cutest baby in Laoag, Angelo =) After, we went to Fort Ilocandia where we had our reservations. We just stayed in the hotel that afternoon because we wanted to get some rest.

The bread in the photo was really soft, tasty and masarap!!! Good thing Loisky told me about this bread that tastes like croissant, yummy!!!

 Goodbye Fort Ilocandia, thanks for making our stay comfortable, it was worth every penny!!! =)

 Sleeper Bus by Florida, cooooooool!!!!!!!! It was kinda bumper to bumper along the aisles but it was fine overall!

 Time to go back to Manila huhuhu our departure time was at 10:15 PM and we arrived around 6AM in EDSA. The experience was very relaxing and very memorable, thank you soooo much to Jay and Loisky and the whole family (including cutie baby Angelo =). 'Til our next adventure!!!

Late Post : I got a 7.5 woohoo!!!

My IELTS result came out and I got a 7.5! I was so nervous of getting a lower grade 'coz the first time I took the exam (sometime 2008), I got 7.0. Everything increased by 0.5 woohoo and I didn't take any review class for this! I didn't have the time and the money (review classes are for a fee). Overall, I am very happy and satisfied =) =) =) Thank you dear God for guidance =) =) =)

What happened this weekend...

My Saturday:

I was at Dusit Hotel for my IELTS exam and I pray that I pass the test, please God... After the exam, strolled around Forever 21 (of course) and was able to get 4 pairs of earrings at P90 each, super cheap!

After that, I decided to have lunch at Foodchoices G4, I picked the Lechon Sisig meal at Hecky's Lechon. I enjoyed the food 'coz it was spicy, yumyum! Isn't it obvious, a big smile across my face haha!

Next, I window shopped around the Landmark while waiting for my hubby dear. I bought 2 rings haha! I just love finding bargains! I got tired and remembered my craving for Twister Fries with Coke Float at Mcdo, oh yes, how i missed this!

Finally, hubby came to my rescue as I was beginning to feel tired. We went to King Philip G5 for my mom's tailored pants. There even was an event and we saw Megan Young. Then, we met up with our friends Karen, Chato and Ings who just came from the Lasalle-UST game at SM Arena. Sad that we lost again but oh well... They decided to have dinner at Sbarro. We all went home after dinner.

My Sunday:

We went to ATC first and tried the mochi ice cream at Mochiko. It was our first time so we were excited about it. I ordered Cookie Dough while hubby dear got Chocolate. Don't be fooled by my hubby's face in the photo, he enjoyed his dessert as well. And the ambiance was playfully styled =)

                           By the way, my dear hubby bought his Nokia N8 this evening so he has a new toy to play with. I'm happy he's happy 'coz he deserves all the best in life.

Chili's and the Big Red Sale at SM Makati

Yesterday, we welcomed the month of August and as everyone hoped for, there are shops on SALE! A good example is the Big Red Sale at SM Makati. After having dinner at Chili's (bottomless tostada chips + fave chicken crispers = heaven), hubby and myself went to SM just to check up on the sale items and to no surprise, I was able to snag beautiful accessories all for just P300! A bargain indeed!

It was a happy 1st night of the month =) =) =)
